About Party Like Its:

Party Like Its, captures the and fulfills the Ability.

Party Like Its is a band based in Washington DC. They are made up of 2 different groups, Cathy D. Music and Party Like It’s bands.

Party Like It’s… is a high energy, 6 piece, ska pop band, playing originals and covers in and around Washington, D.C. The band consists of veterans of the music scene on both the East Coast and the West coast as well as Japan. Party Like It’s… also features current members of Washington DC favorites Eastern Standard Time, The Legwarmers, and The Great Heights Band. Members of Party Like It’s have shared the stage with bands like: Reel Big Fish, Save Ferris, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Bruno Mars, Weezer, NOFX, Less Than Jake, and countless more…

Cathy D. is a DC-based singer-songwriter who has been singing from a young age and performing regularly around the DMV for over 10 years. She is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar primarily, but also keys and percussion. She performs original music as Cathy D. and released her first EP “NostalgiAddict” in February 2019. Fronting multiple bands, she sings with local 80s favorites, The Legwarmers, 2000s tribute, “So Fetch,” and the high-energy, 6-piece ska pop band, Party Like It’s.

She has played numerous venues, theaters, festivals, and sporting events, including a Japan tour in 2015.

An avid advocate for women in the DC music scene, Cathy started a nonprofit in 2017 called Project HERA. Its mission is to support, connect and empower women and girls of all ages and genres in the music industry. Each year, she hosts the HERA Music Festival, a female-fueled, all ages, celebration of women in music.

She also works as a booking agent for bands and solo artists in and around DC.

Fillmore Silver Spring features a large stage, with 2 large bars on the main floor. The upper stair area has a bar and premium seating and accessible seating with a great view. It offers snack, chips, pizza and a few other menu items along with fully stocked bars. The Fillmore Silver Spring features some great lighting and carries great sound and has a capacity around 2000 people.

Dookie, A Green Day Tribute band captures the natural essence of Green Day at its Best.

“Dookie” is a Green Day tribute band based in Raleigh, NC. Made up of 3 veteran road dogs who have spent their entire adult lives in vans, cheap hotels, and dirty rock and roll stages all over the country, who are now focused on bringing you a re-creation of what is celebrated as the best punk rock band currently performing, Green Day.

Green Day has 12 studio albums and 43 singles to choose from, this show is a non stop attack of high energy hits from beginning to end. If any band needs a tribute, Green Day is it.

This tribute show will appeal to multiple generations, spanning from 1994 “Dookie” fans to 2004 “American Idiot” fans to current fans of this 3 time Grammy winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inducted, punk band who has sold 85 million records worldwide and yanked punk rock out from the underground and into the mainstream.

Hardcore fans will appreciate the attention to detail of equipment, playing styles, and stage presence, while causal fans will know every word to every song paying homage to the talents of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool.

About Union Jacks Rio:

Union Jacks Rio is located in The Rio (Washingtonian Center) Gaithersburg Maryland. The Rio features a large lake, with paddle boats and a playground area and a carousel. There are hotels, shopping, movie theaters and plenty of restaurants. Union Jacks Rio features a complete sit down restaurant area and has a large bar, and a small satellite bar on the other side. It has a small seating area outside that carries a lake front view. The area in front of the stage features bar top tables. The bar top tables are removed prior to the show, to open up the area for dancing and standing right in front of the stage. This set up features some great lighting and carries great sound. I had the chance to photograph and video a few songs in it’s entirety from the front of the stage and on the stage. For the photos we used Nikon D850 Body, with a Tamron 70-200 F 2.8 and a Tamron 28-75 F2.8. For video’s we used the Sony HDR TD10, which is a 3d 1080p camcorder, we use it in 2d mode for concerts.
