Party Like Its, captures the and fulfills the Ability.
Party Like Its is a band based in Washington DC. They are made up of 2 different groups, Cathy D. Music and Party Like It’s bands.
Party Like It’s… is a high energy, 6 piece, ska pop band, playing originals and covers in and around Washington, D.C. The band consists of veterans of the music scene on both the East Coast and the West coast as well as Japan. Party Like It’s… also features current members of Washington DC favorites Eastern Standard Time, The Legwarmers, and The Great Heights Band. Members of Party Like It’s have shared the stage with bands like: Reel Big Fish, Save Ferris, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Bruno Mars, Weezer, NOFX, Less Than Jake, and countless more…
Cathy D. is a DC-based singer-songwriter who has been singing from a young age and performing regularly around the DMV for over 10 years. She is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar primarily, but also keys and percussion. She performs original music as Cathy D. and released her first EP “NostalgiAddict” in February 2019. Fronting multiple bands, she sings with local 80s favorites, The Legwarmers, 2000s tribute, “So Fetch,” and the high-energy, 6-piece ska pop band, Party Like It’s.
She has played numerous venues, theaters, festivals, and sporting events, including a Japan tour in 2015.
An avid advocate for women in the DC music scene, Cathy started a nonprofit in 2017 called Project HERA. Its mission is to support, connect and empower women and girls of all ages and genres in the music industry. Each year, she hosts the HERA Music Festival, a female-fueled, all ages, celebration of women in music.
She also works as a booking agent for bands and solo artists in and around DC.

About The Fillmore Silver Spring:
Fillmore Silver Spring is located in Downtown Silver Spring Maryland. Downtown Silver Spring features lots of hotels, shopping, movie theaters and plenty of restaurants. Fillmore Silver Spring features a large stage, with 2 large bars on the main floor. The upper stair area has a bar and premium seating and accessible seating with a great view. It offers snack, chips, pizza and a few other menu items along with fully stocked bars. The Fillmore Silver Spring features some great lighting and carries great sound and has a capacity around 2000 people.

I had the chance to photograph a few songs from the front of the stage and remainder of the show from the floor. For the photos we used Nikon D850 Body, with a Tamron 70-200 F 2.8 and a Nikon 200-400 F4.
